You read that correctly! The proceeds from the 30th Anniversary of Empty Bowls netted a $6100 check to Redbud Area Ministries!!! Many heartfelt thanks to all the artists, school personnel, all volunteers and supporters; your help will extend well into our year, as Redbud Area Ministries to meet many needs in our community. Every day, letter carriers hit their routes and serve 169 million delivery points nationwide. Next Saturday, they're going the extra mile to collect #StampOutHunger Food Drive donations, helping to ensure your community's food bank shelves are stocked for those in need! Buchanan and Galien peeps!! Get your grocery bags tied up and ready! All your support comes directly to us. For this, we thank you deeply. A few things to remember: no glass jars please, no out-dated foods please, and have your dnations out at your postal box EARLY. Along w the awesome postal crew, many volunteers also make this great event a reality. Want a piece of the action? Call our office about volunteer shifts on this day. FYI- our service area to guests is Buchanan and Galien,…1000 lbs of support us dispersed from our doors WEEKLY…..guests can use the pantry once monthly…… pounds of good per household is limited, based on family size. |
